AutoVu automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) solution from Genetec is now available in the UK from leading wireless products distributor 802 Global.

With advanced on-board digital video processing, superior number plate reading performance and industrial grade durability,AutoVu’s unique IP based technology is the latest development in number plate recognition technology. Applications of AutoVu ANPR include policing, revenue control, surveillance and parking.
Vehicle mounted AutoVu units enable police forces and other enforcement bodies to carry out mobile surveys of parked or moving traffic and to compare number plates in real-time with a database of wanted vehicles. AutoVu has the ability to span two lanes of traffic and advanced capabilities allow data to be captured from vehicles moving at speeds of up to or 225 kilometres per hour (140 miles per hour). As well as reading the number plates of moving vehicles, AutoVu can accurately read those of vehicles that are parallel, 45 or 90 degrees parked.
