Health and Safety

802 Ltd recognises the statutory duties on employers, employees, visitors and sub-contractors under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and all other relevant Acts and Regulations.

To enable these statutory duties to be carried out, it is the policy of 802 Ltd so far as reasonably practicable to prevent personal injury, damage to property and the environment and to ensure that responsibilities for Health, Safety, Welfare and Environment are properly assigned and fulfilled.

We will, so far as is reasonably practicable, ensure that:

• The provision and maintenance of plant, equipment and systems of work are safe and without risks to health and the environment.

• Arrangements for use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances are safe.

• Adequate information and training is available detailing the conditions and precautions necessary to secure the health, safety and welfare of all employees, visitors and sub-contractors.

• All necessary safety devices and protective equipment are made available and used according to manufacturers/suppliers instructions.

• Designated employees are responsible for ensuring that the policy is effectively implemented by carrying out risk assessments.

• All managers and supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the policy is adhered to within their working areas.

• Every employee at work will take necessary steps to protect the health, safety, welfare and environment of themselves and all other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions. The working environment of all employees is kept safe and without risks to health

• Adequate provisions are made for First Aid, welfare and occupational health.
